2030 Districts

Fifteen cities throughout North America have formed 2030 Districts: private sector led high-performance building districts that are committed to meeting collective goals for energy, water, and transportation emissions reductions as outlined in the 2030 Challenge for Planning.

2030 District members can use the Zero Tool to establish energy baselines and reduction targets for new and existing buildings, and to assess their progress towards meeting District energy goals. To establish baselines for multiple buildings at once, 2030 District Members can use the Zero Tool for Portfolios, a bulk upload/export feature of the Zero Tool.

2030 District member buildings can demonstrate that they meet 2030 Challenge targets through the Zero Tool and have that performance third party verified by submitting building data from the Zero Tool to ILFI’s Reveal Label program.
